Happy Canada Day! This is already our second holiday since we have been here, and our first that we were able to get out and enjoy some of the festivities. It took us quite a while to get out of the house this morning, thanks mostly to me sleeping in until 9:30 or so. I really was tired this morning, and was really grateful for the sleep. Once I was up, we started making some plans to go downtown to see what was going on. We left the house just after lunch, and headed first to Robson St. where the kids had their faces painted, and got balloons, flags, and some tattoos. Robson St. was really busy, and lots of really excited people. We cruised around Robson for about an hour, then headed down to Canada Place.

Canada Place was really exciting! There was people everywhere! We pretty well stayed outside so that we were still in fresh air, and away from germ, washed our hands at every hand washing station, and did not eat anything from down there, but just with the precautions we took, things went really well. We had a great time, we saw the Olympic torch all lit up, and saw the big globe in the conventions center, watch a band playing for a while, and danced around with some of the rest of the crowd, watch some acrobats, and just took it all in. I had forgotten how much fun Canada Day really is in Vancouver. The girls really wanted to watch the fire works tonight, but they don't start until 10:30 tonight, and there was no way that they were going to stay up that late!

All in all though it was another great day in the string of great days that we have all been experiencing! Ryan got back out of the hospital today, and was looking a lot better, and we all had some time to talk and play, and have a nice relaxing late afternoon! God really has heard everyones prayers about Brenn. She has been doing so well, and right now in her treatment, she is allowed some freedom, so, we are trying our best to keep her spirits high! Thank you all for caring for Brenn, and continuing to pray every day for her, I believe that it has really payed dividends for Brenn.
